Giulio Corno has built his professional and personal path at the intersection of strategic consulting and a constant commitment to the social fabric.
He began his academic path in the United States at George Washington University, earning a BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) and an MBA (Master of Business Administration), then completed his studies in Italy with a degree in Economics and Business. He is a chartered accountant and statutory auditor.
His interest in quantitative methods and business development models led him to work in the field with Professor Ian MacMillan at the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) on strategic management research, and to be appointed a Member of the American Mathematical Society (AMS).
As a business accountant and financial advisor to leading Italian and multinational industrial groups, over the years he has coordinated dozens of M&A and corporate finance transactions, working with GIV, Credit Suisse, Fincooper, Marcegaglia, Coleman, Allison, Golden Lady, Bonomi, SVB, Genux, Shuttle, Lubiam, Gruppo Zanoni, Arcese Trasporti, Bertani Trasporti, IBM, Gefran and Idra Presse, among others.
International milestones include leading the launch and development of Standard & Poor's Equity Rating division in Southern Europe, across key markets such as Italy, France and Spain, supported by working fluency in four languages: Italian, English, French and Spanish.
His knowledge of regulated capital markets took concrete form in the listing of three different companies: he was Managing Director and responsible for the listing of Gefran S.p.A., partner and coordinator of the listing process of Idra Presse S.p.A. and, finally, founder of Triboo S.p.A., a group now listed on Borsa Italiana.
The very origin of Triboo highlights the convergence of economic vision and social value: the company grew out of a project dedicated to the reintegration and employment of people with a history of drug addiction, developed with Fondazione Exodus of don Antonio Mazzi, an institution for which Corno has actively promoted and overseen fundraising projects.
His bond with practical solidarity and the rebirth of communities is reflected in his volunteer work with the Claps Furlans association, active in physical and social reconstruction first in Friuli after the 1976 earthquake and, more recently, in the municipality of Amatrice.
His personal profile is completed by a passion for sport and flying. Following in his family's footsteps — his mother, Irene Camber, was the first Italian woman to win Olympic gold in foil fencing at Helsinki 1952 — he competed in fencing, winning the national foil title at the Gran Premio Giovanissimi. A licensed pilot of both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters, he combined his aviation passion with governance duties as a board member of Aero Club Milano.
